Why Can’t I Download My Show Immediately?

Most KeyboardTEK programming can be delivered after your production license has been verified and payment or approved purchase order requirements are complete.

However, some titles cannot be released immediately. This may be due to licensing restrictions, original production material restrictions, designer agreements, file preparation requirements, or watermarking.

Why Some Shows Have Delivery Restrictions

Some shows include materials that KeyboardTEK is only allowed to distribute within a specific access window or after additional review.

This can happen when programming contains original production materials, restricted licensed materials, or files that require manual preparation before release.

If your show has delivery restrictions, KeyboardTEK will provide instructions about when the files will be available.


Manual Preparation and Watermarking

Some programming files may need to be manually prepared or watermarked before delivery.

Watermarking helps protect the programming and confirms that the files are licensed for your specific production only.

If manual preparation is required, file access may not be immediate even after your order is approved and paid.


Production Date-Based Access

File access may be based on the production dates provided during the order process.

Because KeyboardTEK programming is licensed for a specific production, access may be limited to a specific window before and during your production.

Make sure your rehearsal, opening, and closing dates are entered accurately when ordering.


What You Should Do After Ordering

After placing your order:

  1. Watch for the license verification email or order approval email.
  2. Complete payment or submit the required purchase order documentation.
  3. Review the delivery instructions in your order email.
  4. Download and test the files as soon as they become available.

Do not wait until tech or performance week to confirm that your files open correctly.


What If Your Rehearsal or Tech Is Soon?

If your first rehearsal, tech rehearsal, or opening performance is approaching and you do not yet have file access, contact KeyboardTEK Support.

  • production dates
  • the date by which your team needs the files
